Biographical Text

Edward T. Mcguire was born in Jersey City, NJ and lived in Paramus, NJ and Easton, CT in addition to Mahwah. He fought in the Korean War and remained in the Air Force until 1957. He married Lucy Margaret Barbera on October 22, 1960 in Jersey City, and they had four children. Mcguire worked as a banker and had the title of vice president at two different banks. He impacted the community as a member of the planning board in Paramus and Easton, and also was commissioner for the Easton fire department. Mcguire held other leadership positions as well, such as grand knight of the Colombian Club of Paramus Council 5680, and a 4th degree knight for the Msgr. Charles G McCorristin Assembly, Washington Township Council 5427. His other membership was in the Ancient Order of Hibernians, District 2, Waretown, an Irish Catholic fraternal organization.

Family Members

Married Lucy Margaret Barbera and had four children: Karen, Michael, Joseph, and Edward III. His parents were Edward and Ann Mcguire. His siblings were Joseph and Maureen.
