Biographical Text

Edward Alexander was born in Hillburn, New York. He graduated from Hillburn High School before he enlisted in the Army. He arrived by bus and completed basic training. During this time, Rapp also attended school to be a telephone technician. He was stationed in both Hawaii and Japan to be prepared during the Cuban Missile Crisis. During his service, he learned a lot of different technical skills. Rapp enjoyed the structure of the day during his service and snorkeling in Hawaii. He returned to Hillburn after his service and worked at the Avon Factory, where he believes his career was helped by the technical skills he learned while serving. He went on to have a family and currently lives in Mahwah, New Jersey.
