Biographical Text

Richard Levine was born at Brooklyn Jewish Hospital. He lived in Brooklyn his entire childhood and happily returned there after his army service. After completing his term, he attended Brooklyn College. While there, he was a member of the veterans organization and volunteered to work as a counselor in the Veterans Affairs Office. He also wrote a newsletter and an official college catalogue for veterans. He later worked for the Veterans Office at the Board of Higher Education of the City University of New York for several months. Around this time, fellow veterans elected him to their Veterans Outreach Board of Directors. Levine was also a member of the Vietnam Veterans of America organization. Levine took on a competitive contracting job in aerospace technical writing at Grumman Aerospace where he coordinated and published astronaut flight procedures for the Apollo spacecraft. He then began a career at KPMG LLP. While there, he and two other veterans founded a Global Veterans Diversity Group.
