Biographical Text

Michael Martis was born in Czechoslovakia in 1903. He emigrated to the United States when only few months old and became a naturalize American in 1944. He established the M. Martis Construction Company that operated in Ramsey and Mahwah, building homes. He was a member of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Mahwah.

Family Members

He married Elizabeth Krinsky in 1930. They had three children, Michael, George, and Robert.
