Kazimir John Pietkiewicz was born on 1919-08-19 in New York City, NY to Joseph and Nellie Pietkiewicz. Pietkiewicz had one younger sister, Sophia. While the Pietkiewicz’s lived in Manhattan, Pietkiewicz attended Textile High School for three years. The Pietkiewicz family moved to Valley Road, Mahwah. Pietkiewicz worked for R.W. Bates Piece Dye Works in Garnerville, NY. He was drafted into the Army in 1942. 

Pietkiewicz was discharged from the military in 1946. He attended the University of Florence (Italy). Pietkiewicz married Frances Joan Sheliga in May 1951. They lived in Fair Lawn and on Johnson Ave, Mahwah. Pietkiewicz worked as a machinist for the Curtiss-Wright Corporation in Wood Ridge, NJ. He also worked as a clerk for Ramsey Post Office before retiring in 1983. He was a member of: the American Postal Workers Union, Mahwah VFW, Immaculate Heart of Mary Roman Catholic Church (Mahwah), United Auto Workers, and the Reverend Patrick F. Pindar Council 3962 of the Knights of Columbus (Ramsey). Pietkiewicz passed away on 1986-06-20. He was 66.
